The Champions League's new Swiss-style format has shaken up the competition, creating an unpredictable race with just three league phase games remaining. While Liverpool and Arsenal sit comfortably in the top eight, heavyweights Real Madrid and PSG face the risk of elimination, languishing in 24th and 25th place.
Only the top eight teams will secure automatic qualification to the round of 16, while those ranked 9th to 24th must battle through February's playoffs. The bottom 12 teams (25th to 36th) will face outright elimination with no fallback to the Europa League.
