Tensions Rise After Pahalgam Terror Attack
Hostility between India and Pakistan has surged following the April 22 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which killed 26 civilians. India blamed Pakistan for the assault, an accusation Pakistan has repeatedly denied.
Pakistan Launches Drone Assaults
Last night, Pakistan initiated a coordinated wave of drone attacks across 26 Indian locations, from Leh to Sir Creek, targeting military infrastructure, airfields, and civil aviation hubs. India reported successfully intercepting all incoming drones, avoiding damage.
Explosions Reported on Both Sides
Multiple explosions were heard in Srinagar early this morning around 6 a.m. Meanwhile, blasts were also reported at three Pakistani air bases, escalating the tension further.
India Responds with Missile Strike—‘Operation Sindoor’
India launched a retaliatory operation codenamed 'Operation Sindoor' on Wednesday, firing 24 missiles in 25 minutes at nine terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. Overnight, India also thwarted further Pakistani drone and missile strikes on 15 Indian cities.
