Jiri Klić scored with 1:00 left in overtime to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Friday at Honda Center.
Buffalo forward Alex Tuck forced a turnover in the Anaheim zone, leading to a 2-on-1 break. Ducks goalie John Gibson made a save on Owen Power, but Tuch cleared the rebound and Kulic scored on the open side of the goal.
"Tutchy" did a really good job on the blue line, we had two guys on the net, and then he got it again," Kulic said. "I just had an empty net, so great job by Thacha."
Peyton Krebs and Jason Zucker also scored, Power had three assists and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 22 saves for the Sabres (10-9-1), who have won three of four to move above .500.
"It's huge," Power said. "We had a few chances and we just didn't make it, so hopefully we can get over that and keep winning."
