Max Verstappen expressed a sense of "relief" after securing his fourth Formula 1 title, acknowledging the mounting pressure he faced mid-season despite a commanding start.
The Dutchman dominated the early rounds, securing seven victories from the first 10 races, suggesting another straightforward path to the championship. However, as the season progressed, Verstappen encountered increased challenges from competitors and unforeseen hurdles that tested his resilience.
"I felt the pressure building during the middle part of the season," Verstappen admitted. "There were moments where everything wasn’t going as smoothly as the start, and I had to dig deep to stay consistent."
With this latest triumph, Verstappen continues to etch his name into F1's history books, cementing his status as one of the sport's modern greats.
