Recent reports regarding the WWE Network’s shutdown have caused confusion as WWE prepares to transition its programming to Netflix in January 2025. While WWE Monday Night RAW and other programming will indeed move to Netflix in certain regions, the WWE Network will not be completely shut down. Instead, it will remain operational in markets where Netflix does not yet hold broadcasting rights due to existing deals. For instance, in the Philippines, WWE content that was previously available on Disney+ will return to WWE Network after a two-year absence.

In WWE news, Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens has been confirmed for the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event special, scheduled for December 14th at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island. The event will also feature the finals of the WWE United States Women’s Championship.

Elsewhere in wrestling, The Hardys, who are currently working with TNA Wrestling, are technically free agents and are not under contract, although there is no concern about them causing any issues for the company. Meanwhile, “Speedball” Mike Bailey, currently signed with TNA through the end of 2024, has announced his departure from the promotion, and AEW will be unable to use him until 2025. Finally, Kenny Omega’s much-anticipated return to AEW is expected soon, with speculation that it could happen during tonight's Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view event.
